Foscolo, having noticed some errors, made changes to the unsold copies (approximately 400). In the first printing, page 225 reads "... and on the Sirens enchanted by Ulysses because he threw his own genitals into the sea," while in the second "... and on Arion who conjured the devils into the bodies of the mares as the son of Jesse once did with the devils of his king."
