Headpieces to each canto in sepia and 158 color plates by Fabrizio Clerici. The plates have been biffed by the author. Layout, typesetting and printing are by the Fantoni printing house in Venice. The plates are printed in 8- to 11-tone lithography in the Luigi Fattorini, Milan and Giovanni Trimbali, Rho factories on paper specially manufactured by the Ventura paper mill, Cernobbio within slipcase. Both volumes were executed by the fine Giovanni De Stefanis and Torriani bindery, in elegant red morocco with five nerves and gold titles. Excellent copy. The volumes internally are perfect; the volume of plates, collects them in loose notebooks, within slipcase, each plate bearing on verso the triplet consistent with the illustration.
