Latin manuscript text on laid paper in brown ink with watermark. Flexible parchment from the late 18th century, handwritten title on the spine; The title refers to the vast and systematic body of Aristotelian thought, encompassing the various books and chapters of that encyclopedic work, which encompasses logic, metaphysics and the problem of the universal, physics and the geocentric model, ethics, the pursuit of purpose, politics, and natural science. It aims to understand the rationality of all reality through observation and classification, creating a unified system of human knowledge. It deals with logic, the nature of ideas, their truth and falsity, Aristotelian species and categories, sophistic syllogisms, the art of thought, and philosophical method, both analytical and synthetic.

The second part, Metaphisice seu generalis Philosophie prefatio, deals with physics and is divided into six books, including the interesting second book on cosmography, which includes the description of cosmogonic systems enriched with beautiful astronomical plates. Book three describes the earth and its elements, magnetism, meteorites, clouds and nebulae, storms and lightning. The following chapter deals with the halos of the solar corona; book five deals with animals, plants, life, man, the union of mind and body, the seat of the mind, instead of the motions and the five senses, the soul and passions; it deals with the doctrine relating to the universal characteristics of being, corresponding to the 'first philosophy' of the later Aristotle, later called 'metaphysics': which is traditionally considered the foundation of every objectivist system. A fascinating object, which presents occasional light foxing on a few pages, a halo from folios 64 to 80, a halo on the lower flyleaf. Handwritten note in brown ink on the edges with the name of the MASSANOVA family, then owners of the volume, repeated several times, as well as on the initial flyleaf where on the recto it says: Copy of ancient philosophy and astronomy from the year 500. Perpetual almanac written by ancient scientists, astronomers, philosophers, which later than this work are in print by Almenachi. With the authorship of Rutilio Ben Casa. A small loss on the parchment of the back cover at the bottom. On the verso of leaf 182 is a pink sheet written by the Massanova heirs, undated but presumably from 1813.
