Copper engraving, mm 330x460, hand painted. Edition on paper from the early 19th century. Excellent copy of the Cassini map of Asia. Beautiful cartouche in the lower right corner with allegorical figures. Giovanni Maria Cassini (1745-1824) was a religious, geographer and cartographer. His "New Universal Geographical Atlas" is of considerable charm and uncommon.
