Woodcut, mm 270x260, colored. Famous subject by Albrecht Dürer featuring the classicla winds blowing towards an armillary sphere. The woodcut is from the 1525 edition of Ptolemy’s geography, curated by Laurent Fries, after the first modern edition of 1513 by Martin Waldseemüller. Good condition with a lack in top corner and a wormtrack at bottom in margin.
