Scarce finely engraved map of Poland, showing the Capuchin monasteries around the country, published in “Chorographica descriptio Provinciarum et Conventum minorum S. Francisci Capucinorum” first published in 1643 in Turin by Jahannes a Montecalerio and republished and updated by Giovanni Battista da Cassino. Mm 220x330 The engraving style is bold and unique, not at all similar to contemporary cartographers. A quiet nice example of a map by a map maker who has never appeared in Jolly and for whom Bagrow makes no reference and Tooley offers virtually no information. Complete of the text page. Good condition with minor spotting mainly in margins.
