Copper engraving, 425x545 mm. Rare map derived from the previous cartographic work of Nicolas Sanson. In the cartouche, Petrini also refers to Guillaume Sanson, Nicolas's nephew. Petrini worked in Naples as an engraver and bookseller between 1692 and 1748, publishing many prints from paintings by Lanfranco and Giordano, as well as the famous “Atlante Partenopeo” of 1700 with maps derived from De Fer and Sanson and volumes on palaces and churches in Naples. Good copy with some restoration work along the central fold.
