Lo Stato veneto, l’arciducato d’Austria diviso nelle sue provincie cioè il Tirolo la Stiria Carintia e Carniola &c.
Date: Venice,1796
Cod 4676
Subject: Tirolo, Veneto, Friuli, Stiria Carinzia
500,00 €
Copper engraving, full contemporary colouring, 430x570 mm, also signed by Giacomo (Zatta), brother or son of Antonio. Very rare map published by Zatta, which will become part of an atlas project, never completed, of the so-called Calcografia Society, between the two leading publishers of the Venetian market of the 18th century, Antonio Zatta and Giuseppe Antonio Remondini. The maps were published starting from 1799, probably until 1804, the year of Zatta's death. No complete atlas with index and title page is known to the bibliographies. It is in fact known that the maps were sold individually or in small personalized collections. This map therefore, being published in 1796 and signed by Zatta, not by the Calcographic Society, could be a first state of the same, subsequently used, with probable changing of the editorial notes, by the Calcographic Society. In good condition, it also bears some folds and a water stain in the upper margin, which slightly affects the upper part of the engraved area
