Original period color pochoir, mm 390x260. Fine copy. Formes et couleurs is an album of sixty-seven decorative motifs in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, printed in bright colors using the pochoir technique. These plates, originally contained in a portfolio, were intended to serve as models of inspiration for artists and craftsmen engaged in the fine and decorative arts. Pochoir is a stencil process used to reproduce original color works. It was used in France by leading artists and craftsmen to produce luxury illustrated portfolios, books, limited edition magazines, and decorative and fine art prints between 1895 and 1935. See Decorative Art from Art Nouveau to Deco. Nature source of inspiration.
