Sepia lithograph, measuring 260x325 mm on a sheet measuring 440x615 mm, taken from “Memories of a pictorial journey along the Austrian coast.” The work was conceived by Tischbein (Rostock 1805 - Trieste 1867) during a trip to Istria, where he had the opportunity to portray local landscapes and customs for what would become one of the most beautiful collections of images illustrating the region. A good, well-margined example of this beautiful view of the square in Capodistria; tear restoration on the lower margin.
