Copper etching, mm 255x310, printing folds. Drawn and engraved by Thomas Doesburg, (active from 1683 to 1714), engraver and draughtsman active in Utrecht and Delft, pupil of Romeyn de Hooghe. This view was also used as a part of the border of a large wall map “Nieuwe kaart van den Lande van Utrecht” by Bernard du Roy, published by Nicolaes Visscher in 1696. Beautiful perspective view of the Dutch city on the river Eem in the province of Utrecht. In the foreground animated scene with an elegant carriage. In the centre of the medieval town stands the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwetoren, one of the highest bell towers in the country. On the left side there is also the splendid medieval gate " Koppelpoort" on the river Eem. Very good condition, usual printing folds.
