Alexandre Vuillemin (1812-1880) was a prominent 19th-century French cartographer and publisher based in Paris . He produced numerous atlases and his maps are noted for their frequent use of extensive marginal illustrations, cartoons, famous people and city views. Despite his prolific cartographic career, there is little information about his personal life. Overall in excellent condition, as is rarely found considering the size and the fragile paper used; only some reinforcements on the reverse.
