Hand-painted copper engraving, 340x522 mm (image), engraved by V. Stanghi based on a drawing by P. Manzoni. Attilio Zuccagni-Orlandini (1784-1872) was an Italian cartographer and geographer. His main work is undoubtedly the Physical, Historical, and Statistical Chorography of Italy and its Islands, to which the engraving belongs. The Corografia consists of twelve volumes (not counting the various supplements), printed between 1833 and 1845, and is accompanied by a two-volume atlas and numerous geographical and topographical maps, as well as illustrative plates. A fine copy.
