Splendid graphic reprise of the painting by Neapolitan painter D'Anna, who depicted various eruptions of Vesuvius and Etna throughout his artistic career. His paintings had various graphic takes of which this one is certainly, along with the Vesuvius twin, the one of greatest format and beauty for its extraordinary decorative rendering. Our copy was framed and specially prepared, mounted on cardboard, with the margins of the print glued to the verso of the same, now practically ruined. The title is barely legible and obviously appears upside down. Otherwise well preserved.
