Coronelli, a dynamic Venetian cleric, was the author, between the end of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th, of dozens of important publications, including, in addition to the work already mentioned, the globes constructed for the King of France, “Teatro della guerra”, “Isolario”, “Atlante veneto” and “Teatro delle città”. An excellent specimen. Armao 102: “With his ‘Viaggi’, Coronelli anticipated the typical travel guides of the 18th century, even though this work soon fell into oblivion, remaining unknown even to bibliographers”.
