1.500,00 €
Copper etching, 360 x 617 mm, signed lower right on the plate "Cristoforo Dall'Acqua Vicentino Disegnò, e Incise." A panel from the most famous series of views of Vicenza, which Magagnato believed to have been published around 1770-80, but which already appear in the catalogue of Remondini's editions from 1764. At the bottom are two legends with a total of twelve references. Dall'Acqua (1734-1787), considered the most important Vicenza engraver of the 18th century, worked first in Bassano at the Calcografia Remondini, then in Venice with Wagner and Zatta.
A good example, although slightly trimmed within the plate ledge and with minimal professional restorations at the corners.
Vicenza, città bellissima, 116.
